Eddie Umland of Eddies's Chop Shop in Sacramento, CA is perhaps one of the most creative and imaginative car builders in the country. Some of you first saw his 1200 hp twin-turbo '37 Ford in "Couperageous" in the March '13 issue of Hot Rod Magazine. He has since taken the power train out of that car and put it in a land speed car he built and set a new land speed record at El Mirage last fall. ...

I know this is an old video, but had anyone done this on transmission lines? Any chance it might blow off? Anyone experienced this?
Can you use these aluminum fittings on steel fuel lines or do they need to be aluminum?
Could you link to a steel cut off wheel?
How do you get these apart to replace the line and reinstall the fittings.
What about Mazda trucks?
All those specialty tools, and the hose end was still scratched.
Thanks for the advertisement
H*** she can't even see how the f****** windshield
Great information. I don’t understand why metric size tire sidewall heights are measured and aspect ratio instead of actual height?
Thanks for the video. This is great information! 🍻
That can’t be right. How do you then insert and tighten the blue male end into, say, the fuel pump? You can’t rotate the entire pipe surely.
*Bruuuuh this man whole strut/shock/Coilover is being held by 4 Allen screws!!!*
Can a nylon braided An hose be cut with a rather type pvc cutter?
Great Job !
Thanks. So no need to flare the lines?
Can this be done without a compression fitting?
yes but you need a special flare tool
U r always my daddy in the auto spiritual sense Thx papa This video is AWESOME
Thanks
What kind of cutter is that by name .I bought two and both was shit. They cut one side and destroyed the other .
Those cable cutters suck! It makes a mess it frays the steel braided line
Is the goal to get even temperatures across the tire?
this is my same question is it more about feel and lap time or temps
@@bostic8683 I’m not totally sure, but I do know the following: if you take 3 temps across the width of the tire and you find the following: 1. If The center of the tire is hottest than tire pressure is too high 2 if both the outside temperatures are higher than the middle then your tire pressure is too low 3. Inside and outside temps will reveal info about your camber. I do not know how you would fine tune camber with inside and outside temperatures though
@@bostic8683 hopefully I will go to track and someone will tell me and I’ll let you know brother :)
@@alexanderdavidtarras1156 I know this also that if ur inside is hotter then less camber would reduce this and if ur outside is 2 hot more camber would even it out. whether this is what u use to deduce camber or strictly feel is where I'm puzzled after thinking over the night i fig might be a mix of both with more camber on quali n more temps on race
@@bostic8683 hmmmm sounds about right. I know with my car I was given a guideline of the alignment specs and maybe you use the pyrometer to dial it in to a more precise point.
Thank you for the best tutorials. Havent seen anything from you in about 8yrs. Hope you are well.

Great vids, like a gem hidden in RUclips bullshit videos
yooo I love this video man!!!!
Does it work on stainless steel lines?
Never thought the Miata would be the one that matched my old Dodge pick-up!
Great vid
Great video
Question Do you adjust the camber on a 2008 trailblazer LT
Exactly the info I was looking for. I want to mount a steel cut off wheel in my table saw to use with a sled
Turn the nut not the fitting
Right… first thing I thought! 😎
The will only work on aluminum lines?
I didn't even know that and have never ever heard anyone say that about the top. Hell now I know. that bro.
Braided stainless steel has 2 type, inner corrugated stainless steel and inner teflon. Now I ask you the question, how to cut braided inner corrugated stainless steel? Making video please 🙏🙏 You can look this : www.stainlesssteelbraidedhose.com/ I'm sorry if my english so bad
Just as easy to get a 37° aviation flaring tool flare your hard line and use a sleeve and a b-nut with a proper size Union
Whan an fitting was used in the video??
Just a forewarning for anyone using an angle grinder, overheating PTFE releases extremely toxic fumes, take precautions!
Thank You , I just over tightened mine to hell and back and damaged it I have two more A and N fittings tomorrow, and now I’ve got it thanks to you
I use clear tape. I cut it with a sharp axe and hit it with a hammer. Make sure the hose is on a flat piece of steel. Cuts clean and with no problems.
he is a pro
this is the most informative clean quick to the point video on these ever. much appreciation!
Wai.... wait. That’s it??!!! And to think I was going to flare my hard line.
Me too. I have this bad ass flare tool I bought along time ago and everything. Haha I thought that brass collar went behind the flare. Wow
Me too. No wonder why my trans cooler line is leaking lol
Very nice fitting, but unless you get a “Live” customer service person on the phone, you will spent 13 hours looking at photos of “AN” fitting until you get lucky...maybe. Nice to have a link, brand or part number! Will keep looking. Yes, stainless steel woven covers over high price hose with PTFE liner is nice to look at and works great, but cost as much as dinner for 5 adults with drinks. As a dealer tech, I found a pinched metal line on the frame once in almost 40 years. I will steer around the muffler on the interstate by looking forward at road conditions. Motorcycle riders know what I am talking about. Caution: It rust thru in 40 years and leak! So will brake lines! ASE Master Tech since 1978 - Retired
GREAT OB,,ROVER RALPH HERE AS SEEN IN THE PROFILE PICTURE,,EXCELLENT COVERAGE..STAY WELL
I've never been able to put the line in with the tape on.
Just an fyi- touching up the frayed ends with a bench grinder helps on those stubborn hoses. Also Lubriplate or even Vasolene can be easier to handle on the taper when putting the fittings together. Just my 2 cents.
Very nice video thanx 4 sharing. Great job.
Engine?
I drove one of the RIchard Petty Driving Experience cars at Daytona at just under 150 (what they'd let you do ten or twelve years ago when I did it). I was in my mid-thirties and Madeleine ran her fast run at sixteen at Bonneville. Wouldn't trade my experience, but yeah, her drive was cooler! Wish I could talk with her about it.
